In 1781 Squire Boone encouraged the settlers at his Painted Stone Station to flee to the more populated Linn Station in present day Louisville. A group of Miami Indians attacked the settlers while they were traveling with their families and household goods.
This became known as The Long Run Massacre.

Special Thanks to the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Isaac Shelby Chapter for Presenting the Colors and a Flag Folding Ceremony before the main event.
This event included a School Day on Friday, where 1,237 school children where able to visit 30 stations to learn pioneer skills. Thanks to all of those demonstrators who shared their talents with the students.
