Constructed in the Virginia mountains this Station features the most authentic reconstructed frontier fort in America. Originally built by Joseph Martin in 1775 Martin's Station at Wilderness Road State Park in Ewing, Virginia is the most beautiful site we visit and photograph.

Butler's Rangers

This was one of the many programs presented this weekend. The Butler's Rangers headed by Chris Zagst and Matthew Ward talked about the Loyalist Ranger's on the Frontier. Members discussed the  Ranger's background, their missions, their clothing and their weapons.

Special Thanks to Billy Heck and the staff at Martin's Station. Despite some challenging issues and weather that was not always dry - everyone had a wonderful time. The rain stopped me from attending several of the programs but as always the scenery alone makes Martin's Station a must attend event!
