Usually I like to shoot a variety of photos at events. Always photos from the battlefield, sprinkled with shots of vendors, demonstrators, children and whatever else an event has to offer. This event offered rain! I arrived in time to shoot the battle at noon. I love Mississinewa for the variety of uniforms, units and re-enactors. They come from a variety of places with a large contingent from Canada.  I captured over 600 images and then headed in toward the encampments. That's when a misting rain started. I threw my camera under my jacket. Said hello to a few friends and then popped in a vendor tent to put an actual plastic camera cover on. I contemplated getting some lunch and waiting out the weather. In the end I decided ruining a camera was not worth it and headed out. So all of the photos from Mississinewa were captured on the battlefield. Enjoy the photos and hopefully next year will be better weather.
