Fall brings changing colors, cooler temperatures and the Fall Market Fair at Historic Locust Grove. For re-enactors it is the last chance before winter to get out and camp, visit with friends and talk history. For visitors it is a chance to see life in the late 18th century, and learn from people who spend countless hours studying the time period. Put it all in the setting of a beautiful historic home and it makes for a perfect weekend.

The Many Faces of Historic Locust Grove

Re-Enactors that attend the Locust Grove Market Fair all belong to the NWTA (North West Territorial Alliance) and are military units. Because of that each afternoon they treat visitors to a “tactical” battle.

Because there was no actual battle that took place at the historic site a “tacticl” shows off the military units and the way that battles were fought during the late 18th century.
