A VISIT TO GENERAL CLARK
Clark’s Cabin at Clark’s Point

July 24th and 25th 2004

Photos by Jim Cummings

When General George Rogers Clark retired from the military he built a cabin at Clarks Point about 1803. Native friends of the General often brought their families and camped around the property to visit with him.
This weekend re-enactors gathered at the cabin in Clarksville, Indiana to relive these events.

One room has artifacts and displays.

The other room looks as if Clark just stepped out of it.

On the grounds the native visitors set up camp.
