It has become a tradition to gather for a photo on Sunday afternoon at Women on the Frontier.

Mad Anne Bailey
Messenger and Scout on the Virginia Frontier

A Special Presentation by Mad Anne Bailey was on the Sunday afternoon agenda and was not to be missed. Suzanne Larner Dennis became Mad Anne Bailey before our eyes. Like Carol Jarboe who performed as Maggie Delaney last year, Suzanne raised the bar on those doing first person.

Special thanks to the guys who ran the Sunday afternoon skills contest. Scott Heasley and Tony Richardson (pictured above). We never caught a photo of Jesse DeEsch, Dickie Phillips and young Jesse DeEsch but they can be seen in the newsreel of the event.

Graduation ...18th Century Style

Marz1

Marz Holtzworth opted to attend Women on the Frontier instead of the Graduation Ceremony at Shelby County High School. Her parents John and Rebbie Holtzworth brought along her cap and gown. How many seniors can say they received their diploma from Colonel Daniel Boone! Marz graduated with Honors and Distinction.
