The Battle of Blue Licks

August 20-21, 2016

Photos by Kathy Cummings

The Battle at Blue Licks in August of 1782 was one of the most devastating battles in Kentucky’s History. When Indians attacked the fort at Bryan’s Station all of Kentucky’s leaders gathered to follow them. Little did they know as they followed the Licking River to the North that those same Indians and British would be laying in ambush for them.
