18th Century Market Fair
at Historic Locust Grove

October 29-30, 2011

Photos by Jim & Kathy Cummings

The 18th Century Market Fair is a favorite for re-enactors and visitors alike. The crisp fall air, the changing leaves and the smell of campfires all add to the flavor of Locust Grove. For re-enactors it is often the last outdoor event before the winter sets in. For visitors it is a chance to experience 18th century life - with both the shopping and the tactical battle re-enactments.

This year was an exceptionally good event. The weather cooperated with cool nights and warmer sunny days. And vendors and re-enactors came out in great numbers. If you didn’t make the event - take a stroll through our photos and put next year’s 18th Century Market Fair on your “to do list.”
