After a long and stormy spring, Memorial Day Weekend dawned with bright sun and high temperatures bringing traders and visitors alike to Fort Boonesborough. Trading for goods was a common occurrence on the frontier where currency was scarce. 2011 brought many new faces to the Fort even as gas prices reach an all time high and visitors look for local venues to spend time on this holiday weekend.
