The 2018 Re-Enactment of The Siege of Fort Boonesborough drew one of the largest crowds in recent years. The crowd was treated to an excellent performance on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately the rains came on Saturday evening and canceled the night battle. Sunday morning dawnedwith additional rain showers and canceled the battle re-enactment on that day also.
There was plenty for visitors to see and do as evidenced here by the crowds making their way through the fort grounds.
Daniel Boone and his men from the fort meet with Chief Blackfish to discuss terms for the settlers to surrender. But Boone buys time with this parlay before the battle errupts.

Vendors selling 18th century goods were positioned throughout the fort.
