 The 1778 Siege of Fort Boonesborough

Although there are on going demonstrations throughout the days on Siege Weekend, a majority of the crowd shows up in time for the battle reenactment.

These re-enactors chose the half face shelter behind the fort for their weekend home. Others were camped in front of and inside the fort.

When the temperature tops 90 degrees in late September the Fort Boonesborough Foundation tent does a brisk business in water soft drinks and food for visitors and re-enactors alike.

Chief Black Fish and his warriors attacked Fort Boonesborough in 1778,
