The Participants
SaturdayThe Battle of Lochry’s Defeat
Lochry’s men come ashore to tend the horses and hunt game.
Indians under the leadership of Joseph Brant and George Girty are awaiting them.
The Indians quickly steal the horses and kill several of Lochry’s men.
They take the guns and supplies from their prisoners.
Brant returns after looking over the stolen horses to find Lochry dead.
Although Brant wanted the prisoners alive, an Indian tomahawks Lochry as he sits on a log awaiting his fate.
Brant confronts George Girty. He holds him responsible for Lochry’s death
