		The Pandemic Years - Very few headlines or events as everything was canceled.


	Historic Locust Grove - A Winter Encampment

		Historic Locust Grove hosted a Winter Encampment on October 30 & 31, 2021. The event took the place of the Annual Market Fair which usually hosted more re-enactors, more vendors and more visitors. But present construction at the historic site postponed the larger event until next year. But none the less, the guns were firing, the children were playing, and The Pioneer Times captured the event in photos and song.

The Days Events included:
A reading of The Declaration of Independence (Video and Photos)
A Militia Muster by Re-Enactors for Visiting Children


	Richard Phelps portrays 18th Century Pioneer Daniel Trabue at Fort Boonesborough’s Fireside Chat 2020


	Daniel Trabue was remarkable on the Kentucky frontier because he could read and write. Trabue kept a journal of his life and times, and gives us one of the most accurate looks at late 18th century life. In addition to his time in Kentucky Trabue returned to Virginia and was a regular soldier in the Revolutionary War before returning and spending the remainder of his life inThe Commonwealth.


	Russell Morris, Shawnee Storyteller Headlines at Fort Boonesborough’s 2nd February Fireside Chat 2020




		Jonathan Hagee, Colonial Balladeer, performed music from the 18th Century as guests made their way into the auditorium. The remaining two chats Daniel Trabue and Maggie Delaney are already sold out.
