A glimpse into the CLA Show 2008
By Kathy Cummings
Every year I determine to shoot pictures differently at the Annual Contemporary Longrifle Association Show. More detail. More information on the specific artists. And every year I come away with random shots of this wonderful show. Why - because there is so much to see. This year was even more so. New rooms were added and the show extended all along the top floor including much more space allotted to antique firearms.
It was not only jammed pack with items - when we arrived on Friday morning it was jammed packed with visitors. And all my good intentions - flew out the window. We wound our way through the various rooms. Stopped to talk to old friends and took pictures as we went.
Conversations were in progress everywhere. Deals were being made, items were being examined and studied, many of the conversations revolved around the shear size of this show.
So click on the slide show below and come along with us. You won’t see everything that was there. Some tables were too busy. Some vendors were too deep in conversation. And some folks were just talking in the aisles - having a grand old time. But these photos should give you a sense of the truly great pieces on display and often for sale at the 12th Annual CLA Show.
