Pamela Patrick White and Bryant White of White Historic Art filled their exhibit space with their paintings. Although I have met them before in re-enacting venues I had a better chance to talk to the couple here at the CLA show.

Besides the amazing paintings and prints I find the volume of their work also remarkable. Confesses White, “I paint twelve or fourteen hours a day. Sometimes I hear comments from people that think being an artist “is not work.” She also told me that her more recent focus on oils was the result of a commissioned painting. A clever look by Frank and Lally House at making period pieces for use in movies. This display included photos of actors Mel Gibson and Russell Crowe along with pieces that the couple crafted for these stars.
