Fort Boonesborough was aglow ...by candlelight, by moonlight and by firelight

The paths to the cabins were lighted by candle lanterns.

Kristi Heasley, a member of the Fort Boonesborough Foundation and a long time re-enactor spear headed the research that led to various cabins displaying Christmas customs of different nationalities.

Visitors like Pam Phillips (above) and Michael Fields (below) gathered around open fires.

Jackie Ginter (below) discussed German customs and had these two chorus/German students from Dunbar High School singing carols in German in her cabin.

Along with the cabins visitors were treated to a taste of Christmas goodies in the blockhouse. The period dishes were provided by members of the Fort Boonesborough Foundation.
