		Christmas at Locust Grove

	Historic Locust Grove in Louisville, Kentucky hosted it’s Annual Candlelight Tour on December 11 and 12th. Historic interpreters danced in the second floor ballroom and lent a festive air to the grand old house in which many rooms have recently been renovated. Click here for photos!

	Butler’s Rangers fire across the battlefield during the tactical battle Sunday afternoon at Historic Locust Grove in Louisville, KY. Re-enactors and visitors enjoyed mild weather for 5th Annual the Historic Market Fair. All photos now loaded!


	Hearty Souls camped at Phrophetstown in Battleground, Indiana. The Shawnee brothers, Tenskwautawaw (Tens-Kwau-Ta-Waw) and Tecumseh left the Ohio Shawnee and settled at Prophetstown in the spring of 1808. Photos by Frank Doughman on The Guest Gallery


	1812 Re-Enactors had a beautiful weekend in Vincennes, Indiana at Fort Kox II. In 1811 Gov. William Henry Harrison used this area as a staging ground for the Battle of Tippecanoe. Photos now loaded! Additional photos by Frank Doughman posted on the Guest Gallery.


			The 147th Anniversary of the Battle of Perryville



	Visitors Celebrate Daniel Boone 275th Birthday despite cold and rainy conditions at Fort Boonesborough


Fort Boonesborough’s Bill Farmer thanks Guest Speaker/Author Meredith Mason Brown after he spoke on Saturday. Brown who has published the latest book on Boone spoke along with author Neal O. Hammon and interpreters Scott New and Michael Fields. Photos now available on Fort Boonesborough’s Site and Newsreels coming soon to this site.

		Troops met in the Fight for Peter’s Hill on Saturday and Sunday Oct 3-4, at Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site. Perryville is one of the most pristine battlefields left in the nation. Unlike many preserved battlefields in modern cities - the view from the battlefield at Perryville is little changed from what it was in 1862. Additional Photos Now Loaded!




	The Contemporary Longrifle Association

		held it’s annual meeting and show in Lexington Kentucky on August 15 & 16th. Contemporary artists model their work after the craftsmen of an earlier era. On hand at this world renowned show were both antique and contemporary pieces - from guns, rifles, pistols and powder horns to paintings and other works of art. Photos Now Loaded!


	Fort Boonesborough was ably defended against Indians

The inhabitants of Daniel Boone’s Fort Boonesborough ably defended their homes against Indian attack on Sunday, September 27th. But they had less luck against the weather on Friday night and Saturday due to torrential rains. Although the battle re-enactments had to be canceled on Saturday, visitors still came to the fort and re-enactors laughed their way through muddy camps, wet clothing and miserable conditions. 		The Battle of Blue Licks

	was the site of an Indian ambush in 1782 that forever changed the lives of the settlers in Kentucky. Re-Enactors come to these hallowed grounds to honor those that fought here. All Photos now loaded! - with additional photos on The Guest Gallery and at www.battleofbluelicks.org
