An Evening with Squire David VanMeter - Frontier Surveyor
It was an attentive crowd listening to David VanMeter discuss surveying on the Frontier.
Showing the 18th century tools of the trade - many which have changed very little over the centuries.
Volunteers from the audience try their hand at “sighting” the pole that would be held at the other end of the field or plot that the surveyor would be measuring.
