Visitors to the Salt Festival were treated to a program by Biology Integration and Outreach for Science Education. Dr. Tom Sprout is the Executive Director and he was on hand showing a red tailed hawk. BIOSE is a non profit organization serving life science education needs for Northern Kentucky and southwestern Ohio.
In addition to a series of class room programs the group strives to interest visitors with on site programs with live animals to illustrate ecology concepts.
In addition to the red tailed hawk there were two owls - a screech owl and a horned owl.
