She says, “artistic painting through painting has been my therapy since retiring as Clark County 4-H Agent . Growing up in nature in Eastern Kentucky has inspired me to paint flowers, landscapes and animals. My time in Florida has influenced the seascapes and underwater scenes. 
 
Recently I became a follower of Lian Zhen, a Chinese painter, who is an internationally known Western watercolor artist. For several years I have studied with Bernice Woods at the University of Kentucky Asher Lifelong Learning Institute. My painting style is Expressionism, which is a combination of realism and impressionism. The feeling level is what I try to depict by putting my mind, heart and soul into painting. Watercolor is an unforgiving medium and I just let go of the control factor and let water paint itself.
